My inspiration came from the shapes, colours and tones formed during the season of autumn. Combined with my interest for high fashion and beauty, I blended autumnal textures and earth tones with a beauty element to create Foragé.

My favourite image from this collection is Sophie with the red and black haircut. It embodies everything about the collection that I was trying to achieve, which was to create a look that enhances their bone structure and personality. Sophie’s hair was designed specifically for the tails with a strong, bold shape that reflects her as a person.

Emma’s look, the copper and white braids were created using a contrasting piece of elastic braided and weaved through the hair and moulded into shape to suit her. I’m really happy with how this worked out. And with Anna’s look, I wanted to produce highly contrasting colours that enhanced the shape of the haircut.

If there was a season and a reason to go big, then this is Christmas. Below are some images from my Glitterbox Collection to inspire you. Together, volume and texture will always make a statement. When drying your hair, use a root lift to get as much height in there as possible. This will help strengthen the foundation of your style. From here, you can tong, curl, crimp or straighten the hair but keeping volume will create impact. My go-to is always Oribe Volumista Spray when it comes to making a statement.

The celebrations continue as Andrew Plester, our Gent’s specialist has won Men’s Hairstylist of the Year at the Global Creative Awards held in Amsterdam. Over 2300 hair stylists from across the world gathered for the two day event, where Andrew won his category. We couldn’t be more proud of him. Andrew’s commitment to his clientele and craft is a delight to watch. He keeps all our stylists up to date with the latest trends and techniques and is always happy to help others. Andrew says of his win, ‘I couldn’t believe it when my name was read out. It was such a surreal moment but one I’ll never forget. Sam and the team at HARE & BONE have been by my side all the way and it’s a honour to bring this award home, not only to the UK but to our salon.’

Andrew is also finalised at the British Hairdressing Awards, at the end of this month so hopefully we’ll have more good news to share in the next issue…

We are celebrating four years of our Esher salon this month! Four magical years of being part of the local community and it wouldn’t have been as much fun without our wonderful clients and community.
